    Nice!

Any chance of a ski cam desktop remote for mac and an updated one? The current is getting a little old and i’d like to be able to use it on all my computers.

    Thanks

  6. Peter Says:

    Stickies

We’ll look at developing a desktop remote for mac - good suggestion - I understand the need to keep up to date with Perisher’s snow cams!

  7. Peter Says:

    Darren,

There is another post with some pics of happy valley - it was extended downhill about 90metres.

  8. skibum Says:

Hi Pete, sorry if you have been asked this one before but how about a Perisher iPhone app??? That would be sweet!

  9. Peter Says:

little birdy told me there’s one on the way?

  10. Skibum Says:

    Sweet :-)

  11. Joseph Says:

  12. Peter Says:

i was just informed there will be snow by the 21st

  13. Mitch Says:

Gday perisher team, just wondering of you had any idea on what the snows going to be looking like 12 of july? like do you have any idea of major snowfalls before hand etc. been searching the web ant find anything, so pumped for anothe season at Perisher. Keep the great work up.

    Mitch

  14. alec Says:

mitch - snowatch.com reckons there is gonna be some good snow falls around the start of july.

i agree with darren, i love checking all the cams and reading all the snow and weather reports on several different sites.

  15. Stickies Says:

when will the iphone app be available?

  16. Peter Says:

    Stickies,

I checked out the iphone app prerelease version the other day. I reckon its v cool. A couple of things to fix up but its not far away…..

  17. Peter Says:

    Mitch

i reckon we should get another reasonable fall this wednesday

  18. Skibum Says:

grrrr I was thinking of getting rid of the iphone and going for something else….might have to keep it if it has a Perisher app!!!!

  19. Dylan R. Says:

ive got a question concerning staff and the telemark t-bar. last year we were told that we couldnt ride it by a liftie because it is only for lodgies to get back to their lodges and i was wondering whether or not you could clarify that for me. thanks.

  20. Peter Says:

    telemark is for all!

  21. skibum Says:

    Hi Pete,

You may not want to post this, have you checked out the new “Quicksilver Snow” app its quite good!

Also will you guys develop an app for Android phones one day do you think??

    Cheers mate!

  22. Powderkeg Says:

    Hi Peter

that time again and congrats on the snowmaking. You are giving it a red hot go to try and get some snow on the ground for opening- hopefully mother nature will help out!

Will there be a special lift rate for this weekend if we want a quick slide . daughter has a season pass and I have a Perisher Card - if price is too high I will let her board for an hr or two and me to the pub!

  23. Peter Says:

    Powederkeg

good to hear from you - yeah we’ve been going hard on the snowmaking for a while now…. we should have a good opening weekend.

We’ll see what we’ve got today snow wise and figure out our prices for the weekend. We’ll post them as soon as we can

    Cheers

  24. Nutshell Says:

Hey, I’ve got 2 things to say.

    1. Firstly I’d like to commend you on your investment in snowmaking. Continuously checking the guns running before the season gave me a really good feeling that the beginning of the season would be excellent, and so it is.

    2. Secondly, is there any date already down as to when blue cow, mt p or both are going to open? I’m coming down to Perisher in about 2 weeks, and wondering if the terrain will be ope by then.

  25. Peter Says:

    Hi Nutshell,

Yeah, we’ve been going hard on snowmaking investment and making sure we make as much as we can at every opportunity.

There’s a good chnace Blue Cow will open this weekend. Need a bit more snow for Mt P.

    Have a good winter

  26. Twyneham Says:

When are the lifts at Guthega likely to start please? Snow cam shows reasonable cover there.

  27. Powderkeg Says:

    Peter

This is my first chance to comment -but congrats to everyone concerned on how you presented Perisher to everyone there on the Longweekend. We had the pleasure to enjoy some turns on Fri arvo at a great price and the quality of the snow on the V8 surprised us. Same again on Sat and congrats on opening the Quad to Mid. There were a number of us there - all PB diehards - and all agreed the snow making initiatives of the past 2 years are well and truly making a positive contribution to the mountain- and with mother natures help - PB will only improve for the rest of this season and beyond. congrats again and look forward to getting back on the slopes in 2 weeks.

  28. Peter Says:

Twyneham, as soon as we have enough snow

  29. Skibum Says:

Here is a good one for you Pete, I hear things like the quad from Blue Cow or the Tripple chair from Mt P may end up in Guthers one day. Any truth to this or will you guys keep it simple and spring for a new char from the bottom or the calf to the top of the cow??

Also will you ever run a chair from Guthega over the back to Perisher?

  30. Peter Says:

    Skibum

Improved lifting for Guthega is the next lifting project on the radar.

At this stage we are thinking a new fixed quad from around the load of the poma to around the top of the cow tbar

guthega to perisher…. love to, not a high priority though

    cheers

  31. Peter Says:

Powderkeg, thanks for the comments. Glad you has a great long weekend. I agree the product was great. I got out with my young bloke on the monday and it was great. Have a great winter

    Cheers

  32. Skibum Says:

Thanks for that Pete, doing a great job up there its nice to see some changes every year! Even more to look forward too.

  33. tim Says:

Your installing a fixed grip lift at Guthega. Only install fast detachable lifts that allow much more skiing

  34. Stickies Says:

what is the timeframe for the new lifts? and what is happening with the new village?

  35. Peter Says:

stickies - hopefully we will see a new lift in the next couple of years.

on the village - not real sure. NSW Government ran an EOI last year. Hopefully sometime this year we will hear the result of that.

  36. Mitch Says:

Gday perisher, how is mount perisher and guthega looking? snow cams not showing heaps. just wondering how much more snow is needed to open these areas? are we talking a meter or could a good dump do it?

    Cheers.

  37. Peter Says:

Mitch, would luv a meter but 40-50cm would get heaps open

  38. Amanda Says:

Hi Perisher. Just wanted to say what a fantastic job the snow makers are doing. Towers and Front Valley look great this morning on the cams. Yay for the snow guns!

  39. mitch Says:

Gday guys, seriously doing an absolutley wicked job with the snow making. i was just wondering if you had any future plans for the snowmaking? are you expecting to get guns up and running in more areas in the upcoming seasons? if so where abouts?

    Again, well done.

  40. team vb Says:

Great work on the snowmaking. I can’t praise the team more or Perisher’s committment to spend the $$$$ on building it all and keeping it running.

Quick question……. on the weekend I noticed the route back to Happy Valley from Mt P now cuts across the bottom section of Towers. I appreciate it’s the only option at the moment given the lack of snow in Sun Valley etc, but is this route going to be encouraged during the season?

    Please say NO.

It’s an major accident waiting to happen. On Saturday there was an endless procession of gumbys cutting right across the slope, blindly trying to make the track back….

please don’t ruin my favorite run………………………

  41. Peter Says:

    team vb

    NO

glad you like the snowmaking - snow quality is great

    p

  42. skibum Says:

    Hi Pete,

I stay in Guthega and just want to say how much I (and im sure everyone in Guthega) appreciates that your crew are doing their best to keep the access open over to Bluecow!!! Awesome work mate!!!

Looks like by Monday we wont have to worry about it anymore…come on snow!

    Skibum

  43. Rangal Says:

    Hey P

Nice to see the park in full swing. The new rebuild is legit! The new jump at the bottom is a credit to Perisher and obviously a result of some hard work by the park groomers.
And its only July, cant wait to see how it looks in August!!

    Regards,
    Rangal
