ACT- Southern Interschools 28-30 July

Open to all government and non-government primary and secondary school children in the ACT and Southern Regions in all skiing and snowboarding disciplines, as they vie for selection for the State championships.

Coca-Cola 'Tube My Ride' 31 July - 1 Aug

Skiers and boarders are invited to take on the PlayStation Slopestyle course and now in 2010 the Superpipe on Front Valley. The twist is that the runs (can be multiple attempts pieced together) is to be captured on film and edited into a slick video of no more than 3 minutes with approved Launch Your Band music. Competitor videos will be hosted and voted on Perisher’s website: www.perisher.com.au/winter/tubemyride/ and YouTube. Entries must be received no later than 15 August 2010. The winner will be announced 31 August 2010. $5,000 is up for grabs winner takes all.

Pub-to-Pub Classic 2 Sept

Now firmly etched in Perisher’s folklore, the 28th annual Pub-to-Pub will be a cross-country mix of serious racers and dressed up cruisers, having fun. The Classic takes in five watering holes and is open to anyone with a pair of skinny skis and a thirst for adventure. The race start is something to behold.

Australian Children’s Skiing Championships 3-5 Sept

The nation’s best junior skiers contest for national honours and points on a career path for a world ranking and ultimately Olympic glory. 3 September: Slalom 4 September: Giant Slalom 5 September: Skier Cross

Coca-Cola Spring Carnival 6-19 Sept

School children from Year 1 to Year 12, having progressed through Divisional and State championships, move onto the big stage at Perisher to find the country’s best skiers and snowboarders across every competitive discipline.

The grand finale in the three part series and what a way to go out! Skiers will take on a massive gap jump (set to be on Mt Perisher) and test their mettle as they go big or go home! Not for the faint-hearted and ideal for photographers to get some great action snaps.
