Perisher to Close 4 October! -- 30 September 2009
Season 2009 is drawing to a close with only four more days remaining for skiing and boarding. Thanks to recent snowfalls the conditions couldn’t be better; 38cm of fresh flakes have settled across the slopes since Saturday 26 September!

Snow Forecast for one Last Hurrah! -- 24 September 2009
Skiing and boarding is set to be a real treat with significant snowfalls expected this weekend. Snow forecaster Pete 'The Frog' Taylor has predicted up to 30cm this Saturday, with snow down to 900m.

Spring Carnival FUN at Perisher! -- 17 September 2009
There is still plenty of snow at Perisher and ample time left to enjoy it! There’s a great springtime cover on Mt Perisher, Centre Valley and Front Valley, so why not have one last hurrah before it ends!

More Snow, More Riding, More Fun, More Sun! -- 11 September 2009
Perisher has tipped the 2.8m mark of cumulative snowfalls since the start of the season, and it’s looking good out there for spring skiing and boarding! We’ve received 21cm of fresh flakes since 1 September and there’s more on the way with light snowfalls expected around 20 September.

Spring into Action at Perisher! -- 8 September 2009
8cm of fresh dry flakes settled across the mid to upper slopes overnight with 3cm in the village; adding to the good base, plus there is more on the way. Spring is an exciting time to be in Perisher! Typically, cold crisp mornings are followed by beautiful clear afternoons, perfect to get active or simply relax and enjoy. At present there is an excellent cover of snow across the open trails for snow riding, so get out there and get amongst it!

The Snow Just Keeps on Falling! -- 1 September 2009
Perisher has received 13cm of fresh flakes over the past 24 hours bringing our total to 19cm since Sunday. We’re heading into spring and the cover is still in very good condition across the open trails, with 48 lifts, 4 fusion terrain parks, a Rider X course and the Superpipe all open and ready for the taking.

Snowy August! 25cm of fresh in two days -- 27 August 2009
Mother Nature has pulled out all stops this week delivering 25cm of light, dry snow since Tuesday 24 August. There will be fresh tracks for everyone, with windblown drifts and powder pillows galore. The best news is we’ve now topped 250cm of accumulated snowfalls since the start of the season.

The forecast snowfalls have arrived in a big way! 12cm of fresh dry flakes has settled across the slopes overnight, with more on the upper elevations. There are plenty of windblown stashes and powder pillows to be found across the resort ready for you to carve up!

The budding stars of Perisher’s Coca-Cola ‘Tube My Ride’ competition seriously have talent! You may have spotted them out on the slopes this season shooting and riding, flipping, twisting, grinding, and grabbing in the PlayStation Slopestyle Park on Front Valley.

Way ‘COOL’ at Perisher! -- 11 August 2009
August is living up to her name as the coldest and snowiest month at Perisher! That’s right the temperatures have plummeted and the white stuff that we all love so much has been building up on the slopes, providing plenty of fun for snow-lovers.

10cm of Fresh! -- 7 August 2009
We had blizzard conditions in the resort yesterday followed by a sunny blue-sky day today...it doesn't get much better than this! 10cm of fresh dry snow has settled across the slopes over the past 24 hours, bringing Perisher's accumulated total to 223cm for the season.

A Snowy Start to August! -- 6 August 2009
Great conditions continue at Perisher! 4cm of fresh flakes have settled across the resort over the past few days, bringing Perisher's accumulated total to 213cm since the start of the season. It looks like more snowfalls are on the way with a significant cold front expected to pass over the region tomorrow and another snow bearing system looking likely for early next week.

A Guide to Eating at the Snow! -- 4 August 2009
If you're out on the slopes and feeling a little on the peckish side of things, you don't have to head back to Perisher Valley just to fill your belly. There are plenty of places around the resort where you are able to get a quick and delicious meal.

Official Opening of the Mt Perisher Snowmaking Expansion! -- 30 July 2009
Perisher officially launched the final stage of its three-year $19 million snowmaking expansion on Monday, 27 July 2009. The project involved installing kilometres of new pipelines and 68 automated snow guns, lifting Perisher's total number to 271 and taking snowmaking-covered terrain to 53.4 hectares.

7cm of Fresh Flakes! -- 28 July 2009
Perisher has cracked the 2m mark of accumulate snowfalls! 7cm of fresh dry snow have settled across the slopes over the past 24 hours, bringing our snow total to 202cm since the beginning of the season (the natural base, measured at Spencers Creek, sits at 121cm).

Powder Nirvana! 32cm of fresh snow in 24 hours -- 23 July 2009
Last night Perisher was hit by Mother Nature's giant snow stick, which produced 32cm of fresh snow, turning the resort into a powdery paradise. To-date an accumulated 191cm of snow has settled across the resort, that's 71cm in June and 120cm since the beginning of July, allowing Perisher to offer excellent riding conditions across its four resort areas.

Christmas in July at Perisher! -- 21 July 2009
Australian's love a traditional Christmas dinner, however the typical midsummer heat here on Christmas Day means that many families sit down to salads and cold beers rather than tucking into a sumptuous big feast or go skiing for that matter. Not to be denied a white winter with all the trimmings, Perisher has adopted the tradition of celebrating Christmas in July!

Perisher is calling all Freeriders and budding Warren Millers! -- 17 July 2009
Be part of Perisher's newest event: The Coca-Cola Tube My Ride 1-2 Aug. Skiers and boarders are invited to take on the PlayStation Slopestyle course on Front Valley. The twist is that a run (can be multiple runs pieced together) is to be captured on film and edited into a slick video of no more than 3 minutes in duration featuring music from our Launch Your Band competition!

It's powder central at Perisher! 17cm of fresh flakes settled in the resort yesterday; bringing the accumulated total to 22cm since Sunday 12 July. The cover is light and dry, just perfect for putting in some turns.

Tube Town NOW open! -- 9 July 2009
Tube Town opened for the first time this season on Wednesday 8 July, to the excitement of all. Conveniently located on Mt Piper, adjacent to the Perisher car park, Tube Town has specially groomed lanes that allow fun lovers and thrill seekers of all ages an opportunity to ride down the slopes with a lift back to the top, on purpose built lifts.

Make Tracks with First Tracks! -- 7 July 2009
Ever dreamt of carving turns down an untracked run? Perisher First Tracks are conducted on Tuesday and Thursday mornings during July, August and September (subject to snow and weather conditions) and provide intermediate to advanced standard guests the opportunity to enjoy skiing and boarding with a select number of others on the challenging Eyre T-bar area on Mt Perisher.

33cm of fresh since yesterday! -- 3 July 2009
The snow deliveryman hit his straps today dropping off 25cm of light dry snow across the resort; bringing the accumulated total to 33cm since yesterday. The resort is looking simply magical with snowdrifts of over a metre around the village and on the upper elevations.

Perisher plans to open Early Starter, Terminal, Summit and Ridge Chairs at Blue Cow this weekend for the first time this winter. Intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders are set to enjoy carving it up on Zali's and Lower Roller Coaster.

Mt Perisher opened TODAY on the best snow in a decade! -- 13 June 2009
Due to the recent snowfalls (58cm of fresh snow since Sunday 7 June) and Perisher's new $19 million snowmaking expansion Saturday 13 June saw Towers Run on Mt Perisher open for skiing and boarding.

43cm of fresh snow in 3 days and it's still snowing! -- 9 June 2009
The Blessing of the Snow held in Perisher on Saturday 6 June to usher in the 2009 winter season certainly did the trick with Mother Nature coming to the party! 43cm of fresh snow has settled across the slopes over the past 3 days. Light snow flurries began to settle in the resort on Sunday afternoon and as the mercury levels continued to drop the snow guns were fired up.
