| Spring is finally here and what a start to the season! 3cm of snow settled across the slopes on Monday night, freshening the cover and adding to the base. There is an incredible number of groomed runs to choose from (often over 100 per day) and 42 lifts are presently operating, accessing the entire resort. The conditions are great for either a brisk early morning ski or snowboard, snow tubing in Tube Town or a lazy lunch at one of the on-mountain eateries nestled across the four-resort areas, complete with spectacular views. |

Spectators will be in for a real treat over the coming days as some of the worlds best snowboarders take to the stage at Perisher Blue. The Burton Australian Snowboard Open will begin tomorrow with the finals of the Halfpipe competition on Thursday and the Slopestyle finals on Friday.

On Thursday 28th August, 33 participants from around Australia battled it out at Perisher Blue in the hope of setting a world record for the longest ever rail slide on skis. The Salomon Rail Slide, the first ever ski event of its kind, was a huge success attracting a large and enthusiastic crowd to the Resort's Front Valley. MORE
