Congratulations to Dale Beg Smith ... Silver medalist in the Men's Freestyle Moguls, Australia's First Medal at the Vancouver Olympic Games and to Ramone Cooper and Brittany Cox for competing in their first Olympics and doing themselves and Australia proud. Dale was unfortunate to be just beaten by Alexandre Bilodeau from Canada, who has also been training at Perisher over the past years.
It was also pleasing to see many of those who trained at Perisher on Toppas Dream, our purpose built moguls training course, over the past years line up for the finals in the men's and women's Freestyle Moguls, including Jennifer Heil (Silver) and Aiko Uemura (4th), among others.
Coming up over the next few days other Perisher athletes including Ben Sim (Nordic), Jenny Owens (Skier Cross) Craig Branch (Downhill), Holly Crawford (Snowboard) Ben Mates (Snowboard), Torah Bright (Snowboard), Scott Kneller (Skier Cross), Alex Almoukov (Biathlon). Make sure you watch these dedicated athletes and cheer them on to their personal bests. Perisher is proud to have supported them all in reaching their goal of competing in Vancouver.
