Snowy Mountains Of Music – Blue King Brown
“They raise the roof off every show they play!”

That’s what Spearhead’s Michael Franti says about Blue King Brown.

They have been rockin’ 2010 with a host of amazing shows, including WOMAD and the Byron Bluesfest, now Blue King Brownare heading to the snow to help rock the Perisher Snowy Mountains of Music Festival June 11-14. With a new single out on June 11, the one-off snowy gig is sure to be a big one for the band, who head off to tour Europe and the UK the following week. With sold out shows in London, and with Carlos Santana saying they are his “favourite band right now”, you’ve got to catch them live.

New Ice Skating Rink for Jindabyne
  Winter visitors to the Snowies will be able to enjoy a new attraction this year with the arrival of a fun skating rink at the Jindabyne Bowling & Sports Club overlooking picturesque Lake Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountains.Kids, along with big kids that resemble parents, will be able to skate, loop, spin and perhaps even impress us with triple axels at this new outdoor facility that features an amazing ice-like surface called Super-Glide that has been developed in Canada and the USA.

Open from 12 June to 13 October, Group and party skating sessions from 9.30am – 11am and public skating sessions from 11am – 9pm Daily. 

Cost: Adults $10; Child/Student $8 (17 and under); Family $30 - Skate hire included.

New Food Hut Opening at Happy Valley for 2010!

The new owners are pleased to announce that the new on-mountain food outlet Wurstman@HappyValley will be opening for the 2010 ski season.

Located near the base of the newly extended Happy Valley T-Bar you'll be able to try their delicious German gourmet sausages, soups, pastries and hot & cold drinks right on the slopes, meaning you'll have more time on the snow!
