Mogul Teams

In 2013 Perisher’s Winter Sports Club will be conducting two mogul programs catering to young athletes who are able to commit on a full or part time basis. The Competition Mogul Team program offers structured full-time tuition geared specifically towards competing in freestyle events while the Talent Development Team program delivers a broad spectrum of skill development to nurture young athletes eager to progress along the mogul (freestyle) competition pathway.

For those needing more flexibility and less structure, our popular Casual Packs will provide the opportunity to be coached alongside our Talent Development Team on selected days.

Competition Mogul Team (12 to 16+ Years)

The Competition Mogul Team program is designed for aspiring athletes of all levels, from the experienced athlete to the competent junior mogul skier who are serious about taking their mogul skiing to competition level. The program is conducted on a structured full-time basis with the highest standard of tuition from experienced coaches on top class mogul courses.

Young athletes will have the opportunity to train alongside the NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS), Olympic Winter Institute of Australia (OWIA) athletes and other international competitors on Toppa’s Dream, Australia’s world-class moguls training facility.

Duration: 45 Days, including three weeks of school holidays, weekends and some mid-week days. Additional training days are available by arrangement, optional participation in FIS races in New Zealand are also available

Cost: $3060.00 (until 2^nd June 2013) * | $3360 (from 3^rd June 2013)

* Early sign-up bonus – sign up prior to 31^st March; pay in two instalments (50% at sign up, the remainder of the balance due on 31st May). Full payments will be required after the 1^st of April.

Meeting Place: Blue Cow (outside the Skitube Terminal). Daily start and finish times may vary through the course of the season; regular start times are from 9:00am to 3:00pm, early morning starts are from 7:00am to 1:00pm.

Talent Development Mogul Team (8 to 14 years)

This program develops the skills required for success.

For the aspiring junior freestyle athlete, this program is about developing the skills to ski moguls, learn how to jump safely and free-ski the whole mountain. The program aims to build life-long skills and passion to set up young athletes for the mogul (freestyle) competition pathway.

This is a fantastic opportunity for all skiers and especially Inter-schools competitors who wish to take their ability to higher levels.

Duration: 30 Days, including selected school holidays and weekends with limited mid-week days prior to race events. Additional training days are available by arrangement.

Cost: $2190.00 (until 2^nd June 2013) * | $2390 (from 3^rd June 2013)
