Snowboard Teams

First-class training facilities combined with highly qualified and motivated coaches provide the best training experience to nurture young athletes and assist in taking them to elite levels.

Perisher Winter Sports Club (WSC) operates two seasonal training programs. The full-time Competition Team and part-time Development Team programs are the primary offerings and core focus of the WSC Competition Teams for 2015.

Full Time - Snowboard Competition Team (12+ Years)

The full time Competition Team program is designed to cater to individual snowboard disciplines for athletes with solid fundamental skills and a desire to compete and win at all levels.

Part Time – Talent Development Snowboard Team (8+ Years)

We understand that not everybody can commit to a full time training regime. The part time Talent Development Team is for young riders with strong all mountain skills looking to take their riding to the next level and prepare for entry level competitions.

Strong fundamental skills form the platform for any successful snowboarder and entry-level competitions such as Interschools will prepare young athletes mentally and physically. Training will focus on all snowboard disciplines such as boardercross, slopestyle, big air and halfpipe, racing as well as free-riding.

All Full Time and Part Time Snowboard groups meet at Blue Cow outside the Skitube Terminal. Daily start and finish times may vary through the course of the season; regular start times are from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Helmet use is mandatory for all participants during training and racing time for Winter Sports Club programs.
