Development Programs
Mini Mites (3 to 4 Years)
Mini Mites introduces the sport of skiing to your child in a safe, fun and educational environment with specially trained instructors to ensure your child is well on the way to a season full of fun and learning.
Children are placed into groups according to their ability and will need to be toilet-trained and willing to participate in the activities. Maximum outside ski time is a priority and we strive to take each child outdoors for as long as is appropriate every day of the program. On-snow activities and duration, however, will be determined by the needs of all children in the group as well as prevailing weather conditions.
Meeting Place: Discovery Centre in the Lower Arcade of the Perisher Centre in Perisher Valley. Check in and child drop off is from 8:45am and pick up is from 3:00pm.
The Rotondo Carousel will stir excitement amongst the little ones and provide an accelerating learning aid.

Junior Development Ski Program (5 to 7 Years)
The Junior Development program is the next step up from the Mini Mites program. The focus is on improving basic skills, such as correct stance and turn shape, to develop strong parallel skiing in a fun and safe environment and cultivate a strong foundation for a variety of disciplines in the future. Choose between purchasing the program only or include lunch for the program duration.
Meeting Place: Perisher Front Valley, on snow at the Village Eight Express near the Manor Hotel at 9:30am, pick up from 3:30pm
Duration:11 Sundays - 23, 30 June; 7, 14, 21, 28 July; 4, 11, 18, 25 August; 1 September
Cost: $715.00 (until 2nd June 2013) | $815.00 (from 3rd June 2013)
Lunch: Lunch is not a standard inclusion but can be added at an additional cost of $165 for all 11 Sundays.
Inclusions: Ski tuition, all day supervision and indoor facilities are available for periodic breaks on bad weather days.
Development Programs (8 to 14 Years)
Perisher’s Development Programs provide a challenging environment for children to improve while exploring the whole mountain. We offer programs for all disciplines so young skiers and boarders can develop skills in the terrain of their choice. Development Programs do not cater for first timer ski and snowbard participants so minimum ability levels will apply.
Alpine Program: The emphasis is on refining fundamental skills to develop well-rounded skiers capable of skiing the whole mountain. This is an introductory program to alpine competition skiing where children can experience racing in a fun, age appropriate environment.
Mogul Program: This program is about developing skills to ski moguls, learn how to safely jump and ski all the mountain has to offer. Participants will spend their time free skiing, in mogul courses and terrain parks to practise jumps.
Freeride Program: This program isn't just about learning tricks but about developing skills to enjoy any terrain and conditions on the mountain. It is an introductory program to freeride in which participants will spend their time between halfpipe, the beginner/intermediate terrain parks and free skiing.
Snowboard Program: For younger riders who want to develop fundamental snowboarding skills including halfpipe, terrain park and racing in a safe and fun environment. Training time will be spent free-riding, looking for powder, tree runs and steeps, as well as cruising the groomed runs, all while gaining important mileage to refine skills.

All Terrain Teens (15+ Years)
Designed for teens who want to continue to learn, improve and be challenged without a focus on training to compete.
Alpine Program: The emphasis is on furthering fundamental skills to challenge the entire mountain and training will include free skiing and racing as well as freeride to build confidence and versatility.
Snowboard Program: For riders who want to challenge themselves in all conditions, as well as in the halfpipe and terrain parks in a fun environment.
Meeting Place: Blue Cow (outside the Skitube Terminal) at 9:30am.
