Good morning from Perisher!

It’s shaping up to be a wild and misty Wednesday on the mountain as another cold front rolls through. Temperatures dipped below freezing overnight, leaving us with a light dusting of fresh snow to start the day.

Today we're expecting a top of 4°C, overcast skies with a mix of snow and sleet at higher elevations, plus strong north-westerly winds, increasing into the afternoon.

Our grooming team have worked their magic overnight with 87 freshly groomed runs. Expect a smooth, packed base on the groomers topped with a fresh layer of snow, softening at lower elevations. For those keen to explore, keep an eye out for wind drifts waiting to be discovered off-piste. Rug up, and there’s still plenty of fun terrain to enjoy across the resort.

WHAT TO WEAR:

Waterproof outerwear is a must today, along with quality waterproof gloves or mittens to stay warm and dry. Need an extra layer? Swing past Perisher Sports or Slopestyle, where we’ve got 30% off outerwear, footwear, and apparel. *Exclusions apply.

LENS OF THE DAY:

Poor visibility is expected, so a low light lens will be your best friend.

WHAT'S ON TODAY:

  • Big Pete’s Beach Party at The Station - from 7pm tonight, with Triple J DJs, and free entry!

*Natural snow depth is supplemented with snowmaking in certain areas. Natural snow depth is measured at roughly 1,830m by Snowy Hydro Limited who have invested in new instrumentation across the Snowy Scheme and can now provide more frequent snow depth readings at a site close to the Spencers Creek snow course. This near real-time snow depth information is available HERE.
