Early season riding at Perisher

After a cracking long weekend in the sun, it’s looking to be a cloudier day at Perisher today with temperatures sitting at 3 degrees this morning and a top of around 8 degrees expected. Winds are picking up today with north westerly winds of 20km/h, and we're expecting some cloud to build through the afternoon with a chance of showers later in the day, so make the most of the early morning.

The Mountain Ops team have been working hard to keep the snow guns running from 6pm - 12am, making the most of the low overnight temperatures and topping up the base after a long weekend on the slopes. The V8 and Front Valley Conveyor remain open for early season riding.

Although opening weekend and Peak Festival are behind us, there’s still plenty to look forward to at Perisher - check out the other great events planned for the winter season and start planning your trip!

*Natural snow depth is supplemented with snowmaking in certain areas. Natural snow depth is measured at roughly 1,830m by Snowy Hydro Limited who have invested in new instrumentation across the Snowy Scheme and can now provide more frequent snow depth readings at a site close to the Spencers Creek snow course. This near real-time snow depth information is available HERE.
