FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OVER A METRE OF SNOW FALLS IN PERISHER

Australia’s favourite and largest ski resort, Perisher has experienced incredible snowfalls over the past week. The storm delivered 117cm of new snow across the four resort areas of Perisher Valley, Blue Cow, Smiggin Holes and Guthega, providing fantastic conditions for skiers and boarders to enjoy.

The massive snow storm hit the mountains last Thursday and continued all weekend delivering huge amounts of snow each day. The snowfall has set Perisher up for an amazing August and September. All 47 lifts are operating, accessing over 100 groomed runs and there has been no better time to visit Perisher than now to experience these amazing conditions. Perisher’s Chief Operating Officer, Peter Brulisauer, says “We are thrilled to have received such a huge snowfall. It’s one of the biggest we have seen. The second half of the winter including spring is shaping up to be the best in many years.”

With even more snow on the way next week, this spring is shaping up to be a fantastic time in Perisher.
