Adult 2-Hour Lesson

Adult 2-hour group lessons are designed for skiers and snowboarders aged 15 and over, catering to all skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced riders. Each lesson is built to boost your confidence on the mountain, whether you're learning new skills or refining the ones you've already got. Groups are kept small and grouped by ability level, so you get personalised instruction that makes the most of your time on snow.

What to expect

• 2 hours with a qualified and highly experienced instructor
• Small group sizes
• A fun and safe lesson tailored to the group's ability level
• The opportunity to explore Perisher's variety of trails, dependent on group ability level

Lesson details

There are a number of lesson options:

• For first-timers and beginners, we recommend taking a lesson from Smiggin Holes, home to Perisher's best beginner terrain. Lessons at Smiggin Holes begin at 10:30am.
• For more experienced skiers and riders who are confident catching chairlifts, you can choose from a 9am or 11am lesson starting at Perisher.

Additional details

• This lesson does not include lift access. Please ensure you have a valid lift ticket for the day of your lesson. Your lift ticket will be scanned at the beginning of the lesson as you are grouped into classes.
• Book online and in advance to secure your preferred lesson dates, particularly during School Holiday periods
• Please consider travel time and potential delays when attending a lesson and allow for extra time during Peak Snow Days
• Perisher strongly recommends the use of helmets when participating in snowsports
• To assist with class allocation, please advise Snowsports School staff of your previous on-snow experience and current ability level upon arrival.

1-Day Learn to Turn Program

The Learn to Turn Package is perfect for adults (15+) who have never skied or snowboarded before. The package includes a specialised beginner group lesson and a limited access lift ticket for you to continue to practice your turns post lesson!

• Limited access lift ticket

Lesson details

• Available for beginner skiers and snowboarders
• Choose from 9am or 11am start time at Perisher, or a 10:30am start time from Blue Cow or Smiggin Holes (pending availability). For the best beginner terrain, we recommend choosing a lesson at Smiggin Holes.

Preparing for Your Lesson

When should I arrive for my lesson?

We recommend arriving 10 minutes before your lesson start time. Please allow extra time to travel around the resort in peak times (weekends and school holidays) to avoid being late to your lesson.

Do I need to collect my rentals before I go to my lesson?​

Yes, make sure you have all your rental gear, waterproof clothing, gloves and other necessary items before your lesson. Where possible, we recommend collecting your rental gear the afternoon before your lesson. If you're picking up rental gear the morning of your lesson, please allow plenty of time before your scheduled lesson time.

Where do I meet for my lesson?

Your meeting spot will depend on which resort area you booked your lesson from. Please double check this in your lesson booking!

• If you've booked your lesson from Smiggin Holes, meet at the Snowsports School flags near Smiggins Hotel.
• If you've booked your lesson at Perisher, meet at the yellow Snowsports School sign between the Village 8 Express and Mitchell T-Bar.
• If you've booked your lesson at Blue Cow, meet at the Snowsports School flags outside the Blue Cow Terminal near Pony Ride.
