Driving in snowy conditions
Driving in the Snowy Mountains is a unique experience, and you can come across some challenging conditions. Please drive carefully and be aware of wildlife, heavy vehicles and icy roads. Always drive safely to the road conditions and ensure to leave a safe distance between yourself and the car in front.
- Use your fog lights
- Don’t tailgate - keep a good distance between the car in front in case you need to stop suddenly
- Brake gently
- Don’t use hot water to remove any ice on your windscreen – either scrape it away or use the demister.
