Herd the crew – Blue Cow is set to open this Saturday, 21 June
Blue Cow will officially open this Saturday, 21 June, meaning options for skiing and boarding will be available across all four of Perisher’s resort areas, including Guthega, Smiggin Holes and Perisher, although not yet interlinked.
“Blue Cow is one of the most iconic areas of our resort and skiers and boarders will find incredible terrain, breath-taking views and a truly memorable alpine experience,” said Nathan Butterworth, Perisher’s Vice President & General Manager. “Huge thanks to our mountain operations team for working so hard to get this resort area open this early in the season. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Blue Cow from this weekend.”
Lifting options this Saturday at Blue Cow will be:
- Early Starter Double Chair (Beginner/Green). This is a short, wide, gentle slope ideal for first timers and those building confidence
- Terminal Quad (Beginner/Green to Intermediate/Blue). This 4-seater chairlift provides access to a variety of runs including green and easy blue terrain. It’s a good progression lift after mastering Early Starter.
- Summit Quad (Intermediate/Blue). While there are some beginner-friendly options from this 4-seater chairlift, it’s best suited for confident intermediates.
- Pony Ride (Beginner/Green). This magic carpet is perfect for kids and absolute beginners. It’s often used for first lessons and gentle practice.
Additional lift openings at nearby Guthega this Saturday:
- Carpark Double Chair (Intermediate/Blue and above). This lift connects to Guthega’s terrain, best for intermediate skiers and above. However, there is currently no skiing/boarding access between Guthega and Blue Cow.
Blue Cow is its own distinct and beloved resort hub, with retail, rentals, guest services and food and beverage venues catering for all. Accessible exclusively via Skitube, all guests with a valid lift ticket can enjoy seamless travel between Perisher Valley and Blue Cow.
