A Winter Worth Remembering

Sunrise at Perisher Ski Resort

6 October, 2025

Some seasons are good. Some are great. And then there are the ones that feel truly unforgettable. Where the snow keeps coming, the stoke is sky-high, and the hill seems to hold a little extra magic.

2025 was one of those seasons.

The Season That Kept On Giving

From the very start, winter came charging. Opening Weekend welcomed a season-starting storm, dropping 38cm of June snow, enough to set the V8 spinning from day one. And that was just the beginning...

June stacked up to 123cm in total, with fresh snow falling almost every week and all four resort areas opening before the month was out. July followed suit, bringing another 95cm and locking in the coverage with freezing nights and some awesome stints of snowmaking.

By August, the entire mountain was alive with every lift spinning and endless options to explore. And then came the storm of the season…a 68cm dump in late August, pushing our base over two metres for the first time in two years.

Even as spring rolled in, the snowpack held strong, offering long, sunny laps and playful conditions right through to the final weeks. Then, just when we thought it was all winding down, October delivered a surprise 7cm snowfall, topping up the hill and gifting riders one last unforgettable powder day to send the season out in style.
