The snow is falling and winter is kicking off!

Whistler Blackcomb has received over 3 metres of snow to kick off this winter and this past week our Colorado resorts have received a bunch of snow, with Vail showing off a sweet 46cm of the fresh stuff! Along with having the option of floating through the powder in the trees or carving up the groomers thanks to the Epic Australia Pass, there are free events kicking off in Vail, Breckenridge, Park City and Whistler Blackcomb that you won’t want to miss. Here’s the rundown of what you can expect this December…

What’s happening in Vail

It’s the beginning of the season and the parties are starting! This weekend, Vail Snow Daze will be kicking off from Friday through until Sunday night at the base of Gondola One in Vail Village with après parties and free live concerts presented by Bud Light.

What’s happening in Breckenridge

This weekend, Breck will celebrate the ninth annual Dew Tour built by Mountain Dew! This year’s event has been reimagined with a new two-part slopestyle competition, a new adaptive banked slalom competition, a new team challenge and the return of streetstyle!

Watch the best skiers and boarders in the world in Breck throwing down their best tricks. Some of the names that you may have seen at Perisher this season that will be competing include Chas Guldemond, Brandon Davis, Danny Davis, Jamie Anderson, Max Parrot, Mark McMorris, Spencer O’Brien, Torstein Horgmo, Bobby Brown, Gus Kenworthy, Oystein Braaten, Jossi Wells, Joss Christensen and so many more!

What’s happening in Park City

Are you going to be at the largest resort in the U.S. this weekend? If you are, there are some great events taking place in and around the resort that are great for everyone to enjoy!

For those who love our furry friends, be sure to swing by the Ski Beach in Canyons Village at 4.30pm to meet the resorts avalanche dogs! While you’re there, the EpicMix team will be able to snap your pic with the adorable lifesavers! Can’t make it this week? It’s all good because this is happening every Friday afternoon through the whole season. 

In Park City there are a range of activities each weekend that will let you relax and enjoy the town. There’s everything from Saturday and Sunday S’mores and DJ sets at Umbrella Bar in Canyons Village, through to live music sets throughout the resort that will suit everyone’s taste! 

What’s happening in Whistler Blackcomb

Whistler Blackcomb has had over three metres of snow fall across the resort, and it’s only early days of their season! Along with cruising through the powder and tearing up the huge range of groomers available, there’s a bunch of events taking place in Whistler Blackcomb that you won’t want to miss!

Coming up this month there’s heaps of après events including Willa presented by Kokanee, the Fire and Ice show every Sunday evening where you can bring the whole family along to enjoy a mix of music, dance and fire spinning, and the annual Santa Day where you come skiing or boarding dressed as Santa or Mrs Claus and the first 75 people to arrive at the Garibaldi Lift Company at the base of Whistler Mountain in full costume will be awarded a free lift ticket. 

This is only the start of the huge range of events that will be taking place at our ten world class resorts this season, so stay tuned for more to come; and all the benefits that come thanks to your Epic Australia Pass.
