Olympic Set To Open!

?? Please note: Due to freezing overnight temps, some lifts will have delayed openings this morning while we de-ice for your safety. Stay updated via the Perisher Lift Report and opt in to ‘Snow & Weather’ and ‘Lift & Operations’ alerts in the Perisher app for the latest updates.

Good morning!

Olympic T-Bar is officially scheduled to open for the season today! However, it will be delayed due to de-icing. Stay tuned to the Lift Report, and as soon as that green light is on, you’ll be among the first to ride!

Today we're expecting a foggy and wet start to the morning, however possible snow showers are expected above 1200m as the temperatures drop into the afternoon. We're expecting a top of 2°C and light southeasterly winds.

The snow will be firm and fast before softening into the morning. Huge shoutout to our grooming team who have laid fresh cord on a whopping 109 runs for you this morning!

Subaru WRX First Tracks is back this morning for Epic Australia Pass Holders. However, due to essential de-icing, it will be running on Mitchell T-Bar.

WHAT TO WEAR:

Not quite as cold as yesterday, but the wind still has a bite. We recommend thermal base layers and waterproof outerwear to stay warm and dry with that weather rolling in throughout the day. Need another layer? Low light lens? Pop into Perisher Sports or Slopestyle, and our team will get you all set for the day ahead!

LENS OF THE DAY:

With low visibility expected this morning, we recommend using a low light lens today.

WHAT’S ON TODAY:

  • We're gearing up for a classic Saturday night here at Perisher with Night Skiing and Snowboarding and Fireworks (weather permitting) lighting up the mountain after dark.

  • From 11am, Red Bull will be spinning tunes at Front Valley.

  • NSW Junior Moguls Championships are on!

  • Para Development Camp (29 July - 3 August)

  • Illy live at The Station, Saturday 2nd August - Tickets still available!

  • Amy Fredes at Jax Bar | From 3:30pm

  • Valley Animal Duo at Blue Cow | 11:30am - 2:30pm

COMING UP:

There is so much to discover today, chuck those low light lenses in and start exploring!
