Today at Perisher

Pick of the day? Retail therapy!

In good news, yesterday afternoon's change rolled through later than forecast, so we had a great day out on the slopes. We hope you made the most of it, as today's a different story.

The moisture arrived overnight and the resort is currently blanketed in thick fog. If you needed a rest day, today's it. It's currently just under 4°C and we're headed for a top of 6°C. The moisture is expected to hang around and could fall as snow on the peaks above 1900m. We're also expecting high winds, which may impact some lift operations.

We have 31 lifts expected today, though this number may change as the team assesses any damage to the snowpack. We have 38 groomed runs, and the snow will be soft underfoot from the outset.

As we roll into day 4 of State Interschools, there may be some changes to the schedule based on conditions. Snow Australia will provide updates.

With great savings on offer at Slopestyle and Perisher Sports, and conditions less than ideal on the mountain, today's pick is retail therapy. With up to 50% off select products, you can't go wrong!

The good news: this weather should clear by mid-morning tomorrow, and we're in for a mostly sunny weekend!

*Natural snow depth is supplemented with snowmaking in certain areas. Natural snow depth is measured at roughly 1,830m by Snowy Hydro Limited who have invested in new instrumentation across the Snowy Scheme and can now provide more frequent snow depth readings at a site close to the Spencers Creek snow course. This near real-time snow depth information is available HERE.
