Today at Perisher

The snowstorm is on its way!

After a bluebird, sunny day yesterday, a snowstorm is on its way to Perisher! Today is forecast to be cloudy with snow showers developing, most likely through the afternoon and evening, and a top of 3°C. Winds will be north westerly 17-29km/h with occasional stronger gusts.

The snowguns were firing again last night, with 127 guns running from 5:30pm-midnight, laying down more man-made snow that's making for some lovely groomed skiing and riding. The ideal snowmaking conditions we've had recently have meant we've been able to open more lifts and terrain, bringing us to 18 lifts open as we roll into the weekend. The most recent additions are the Scott J-Bar and Kaaten Triple Chair at Smiggins and the Blue Cow School Rope Tow, all opened yesterday.

Be the first to know about openings by downloading the Perisher App, or keep an eye on the lift status report for real-time updates throughout the day.

The Rossignol and Elan crew are back at Front Valley today, so swing by their demo tent to try out the latest gear. In between runs, be sure to catch the live music around Front Valley too, with Chaperone followed by Jack Billmann playing from 11:30am at JAX Bar.

Tonight also marks the first official night skiing session of the season. From 6-8:30pm every Saturday and Tuesday, ski and board under the stars, with live entertainment keeping the vibes going after your last run.

Looking ahead, the forecast is calling for snowfall and strong winds, so keep an eye on tomorrow's snow report and the snow cams to see what lands.
