East Coast Low Has Arrived!
Good morning from Perisher!
The “Bomb Cyclone” has well and truly hit the Snowy Mountains overnight, delivering a wintry mix of wild weather and 4cm of natural snowfall across the resort.
Let’s face it. It’s going to be a wet and wild one out there today. But with the right gear and the right attitude, it’s still a great day to explore the slopes and make the most of the mountain.
We’re expecting 33 lifts to spin across the resort, though please note: very strong south-westerly winds may impact lift operations, particularly at higher elevations. Keep an eye on the Perisher lift report and opt-in to 'Snow & Weather' and 'Lift & Operations' notifications on the Perisher app to stay updated.
These winds are forecast to ease into the afternoon, with cloudy skies and a top temperature of 3°C.
WHAT TO WEAR
Waterproof outerwear is a must today to stay warm and dry out on the hill. Add breathable base layers underneath and swap in low-light lenses for your goggles to make the most of the stormy conditions.
TODAY'S TOP TIPS
- Lens of the Day: Visibility is expected to be low today so pop in some low light lenses.
Please note: Blue Cow is accessible from Perisher via Skitube with a valid 2025 Epic Australia Pass or lift ticket. We're excited to share that ski and snowboard access is now open from Blue Cow back to Perisher via Pleasant Valley, as well as between Blue Cow and Guthega, giving you even more ways to explore the mountain.
