Today at Perisher
Blizzard mode activated!
After a night of wild winter weather, snow has arrived at Perisher! Rain turned to snow at around 6:00am, and since then we've already picked up 5cm on the snowstake, with hopefully more to come throughout the day.
Monday will bring another day of high cloud with a top of 1°C, along with strong north-westerly winds of 35 to 50 km/h, whipping up blizzard-like conditions and snow showers.
40 lifts are scheduled to spin today, though high winds may impact operations, so keep an eye on the lift report for real-time updates, or download the Perisher App to stay in the loop.
There are 38 groomed runs open today, with soft, wet snow expected on the slopes given the overnight weather. Please take care, as visibility will also be affected by the blizzard-like conditions.
Looking further ahead, the forecast is promising, with snow showers predicted right through to Thursday. Fingers crossed it all comes together!
