Today at Perisher

Mountain Weather for your Wednesday

After a fantastic run of bluebird days and plenty of laps on Front Valley to get the snow legs firing, conditions are looking a little less picture-perfect today.

The cloud has rolled in, it’s currently 5.7°C in Perisher Valley and we’re headed for a top of 7°. The milder night meant the snow will be soft underfoot right from the get go. Visibility is fine, with the cloud sitting higher up on the peaks but dare we say there is some precipitation about.

The wind is currently North Westerly, around 20kph and is set to ease throughout the day, swinging WNW around lunch time.

Due to the forecast showers and northerly winds, the Village 8 will be closed today to preserve the snowpack - we expect to re-open it tomorrow after the groomers work some magic. The Front Valley Conveyer is set to spin from 8:30am.

If you made the most of the fair weather, today might be a good one to rest the legs, stretch or hit the shots for some retail therapy!
