What to pack

What to pack for your winter holiday

Here’s a check‐list of items you may need or want to take on your snow holiday. Obviously everyone’s holiday is somewhat different, so everyone will want to pack different items. This is just a guide of all the potential things you might want to pack!

Ski and Snowboard Clothing

If you’re renting your ski or snowboard gear, you’ll pick up your gear from your selected Perisher Snowsports Hire Location. If not, these are some suggestions to make sure you stay warm while out having fun at Perisher:

  • neck warmer
  • thermal pants (not cotton as it captures the moisture),
  • Skins or equivalent thermal top or other under‐layer (not cotton as it captures the moisture)
  • jumpers
  • helmet
  • goggles
  • beanie
  • waterproof ski/board jacket
  • waterproof ski/board pants
  • waterproof ski/snowboard
  • gloves
  • ski/snowboard socks
  • A fitted face covering. Please note scarfs and bandanas are not considered a "fitted face covering" under the NSW Public Healt Order and this also includes the use of bluffs and neck warmers.

Other Clothing

If you want to explore other activities at Perisher, it’s a good idea to make sure you’re ready for the chilly weather. Here are some suggestions we thought might come in handy:

  • non slip warm shoes
  • scarves
  • gloves
  • slippers
  • warm socks
  • sunglasses

Other things to pack for your day on the slopes

It’s important to make sure you stay safe in the sun, just because it’s cold doesn’t mean that the sun can’t burn. Here are some extra things we thought always come in handy:

  • sunscreen
  • lip balm
  • tissues
