Leichhardt Park open, Christmas in July, and more!

The weekend is here! Saturday is shaping up to be mostly cloudy with a top of 4°C, and winds staying relatively steady from the west around 23km/h. There's also a chance of snow flurries later in the afternoon and evening, so let's see what Mother Nature has in store.

The recent cool change has been great for snowmaking, with the guns firing all day yesterday. Expect conditions to be firm and fast underfoot, with a nice layer of man-made snow on top.

There'll be plenty of festive spirit at Front Valley today for Christmas in July! Say hello to Santa at Santa's Snowdome, track down the mischievous elves in the Subaru Wilderness Scavenger Hunt, or soak up the atmosphere at Night Skiing, where you can ski and board under the stars, catch the fireworks, and grab a treat from the popcorn and fairy floss truck. The Demo Days continue too, with Dynastar and Faction on hand with the latest gear for you to try. Head to the Mt Perisher Powder Inn between 9am and 3pm to say hello and put it through its paces.

There's plenty happening off the slopes as well, with live music dotted around the mountain. Catch Matty Rogers and SAIJE at Jax Bar, DJ Bolta bringing the vibes at Mid-Station, and DJ Leo in the Red Bull Boom Box at the Powder Inn.
