Today at Perisher

Another breezy day on the mountain

There is a strong westerly wind throughout Perisher Valley this morning, and there's a medium chance of a few showers later this evening. Today is an expected top of 6°C forecast, and winds west to northwesterly averaging 35 to 50km/h through the day before picking up again into the late evening. There's some cloud about, but we're hopeful visibility will hold up well like it did yesterday.

With the wind still about, our Mountain Operations team will be keeping a close eye on conditions and getting lifts spinning as soon as it's safe to do so. Some lifts may start the day on wind hold, so keep the Perisher App nearby or check the lift status report for updates as they come through. We're looking at 13 lifts expected to spin and 11 groomed runs across the resort. As it didnt drop below 0°C overnight, the snow should be fun from the get-go.

Congratulations to all of our National Interschools competitors, school coordinators and volunteers, persevering in tough conditions across the week. As we reach day 4, sign up to the event WhatsApp group for event updates and information throughout the day. Goodluck to everyone out there competing!

As a reminder, Slopestyle and Perisher Sports have up to 50% off select products, plus an extra 15% off for Pass holders on top of that, if you're in the mood for some retail therapy.

*Natural snow depth is supplemented with snowmaking in certain areas. Natural snow depth is measured at roughly 1,830m by Snowy Hydro Limited who have invested in new instrumentation across the Snowy Scheme and can now provide more frequent snow depth readings at a site close to the Spencers Creek snow course.
