Today at Perisher

Happy Friday!

Good morning and happy Friday!

Temps dropped down to a freezing -2°C overnight, the perfect recipe for keeping the snow firm and fresh for those early morning turns. The morning is serving up plenty of sunshine, showing off Perisher in all its springtime glory.

As the day warms, we’re heading for a high of 9°C. That means soft, forgiving snow through the afternoon, ideal for cruisy laps with mates or family, soaking up the relaxed spring vibes.

Winds will start out moderate, picking up a little as the day rolls on, and there’s some weather on the horizon. Wet conditions are expected to move in later, and with the temperature dropping, we’re hoping to see that system switch over to snow.

Soak up the sunshine this morning, enjoy those spring laps, and hope for a little Friday surprise from the snow gods. The season is far from over!

What to Wear:

Today is all about light layers, sunnies, and plenty of sunscreen. Think breathable base, a light jacket, and spring gloves for perfect comfort on the slopes.

*Natural snow depth is supplemented with snowmaking in certain areas. Natural snow depth is measured at roughly 1,830m by Snowy Hydro Limited who have invested in new instrumentation across the Snowy Scheme and can now provide more frequent snow depth readings at a site close to the Spencers Creek snow course. This near real-time snow depth information is available HERE.
