Bluebird Saturday!

Good morning and welcome to the weekend!

It’s shaping up to be a picture-perfect bluebird day across the resort. With clear skies, light WNW winds and a top of 3°C expected, the conditions are ideal for getting some quality laps in.

Temps dropped to -1°C overnight, which means we were able to fire up 92 snow guns to freshen things up across the mountain. The snow is dry and crisp this morning, and the groomers are going to be a dream!

Lift Operations Update
Pleasant Valley Quad Chair and Freedom Quad Chair will be opening a little later this morning due to essential de-icing. Make sure to keep an eye on the Perisher lift report and opt-in to 'Snow & Weather' and 'Lift & Operations' notifications in the Perisher app for the latest updates, as operations may be affected.

Subaru WRX First Tracks is On
Epic Australia Pass holders, your early access session is running this morning at Leichhardt and V8. Conditions are looking great, don’t miss it.

Night Skiing & Fireworks Tonight
Night Skiing is back from 6-9 PM, with fireworks lighting up the Village Eight from 8 PM. Plus, this school holidays, Perisher Fire and Rescue are bringing the heat from 5-6 PM at the base of V8.

You can:

  • Experience a real Kitchen Fire Simulator (yes, actual flames)
  • Check out the Hägglunds Snow Fire Truck up close
  • Learn more about fire safety and the incredible work this team does right here at Perisher

Peak Snow Days

With fantastic early-season conditions and the launch of our brand new 6-seater chairlift on Mt Perisher, we’re expecting Perisher to be buzzing these school holidays, we call these Peak Snow Days. If you’re planning to hit the slopes, we recommend you plan ahead and allow for extra time, especially if you have a morning Snowsports lesson.

What To Wear

It’s a cold start to the morning, so make sure to bundle up! We recommend thermal base layers to keep you warm, and with that bright sun out today, don’t skip the sunscreen - slip, slop, slap, folks!

Lens of the Day

It’s a classic bluebird day, so a high-light or variable lens is your best bet to handle those changing light conditions and keep your vision clear while you cruise.

Have a great day!
