Scavenger Hunt – We have a Winner!

Thank you for everyone who joined in on the Scavenger Hunt! Our lucky Winner of $500 Perisher Money is Natalie McDonald, with Bradley Halis and Nagisa Chiba taking out the Runners Up prizes of $250 Perisher Money each.

Congratulations!

Snowtunes

24 staff members were given double passes to attend Snowtunes over the weekend.

These lucky staff members were selected at random, from a list of staff who have been awarded Perisher Money this winter. The passes were generously donated by Snowtunes and we were stoked to be able to reward our hard-working staff once again.

Staff are nominated for Perisher Money by their peers for going above and beyond their usual duties. If you feel someone is going above and beyond, simply notify your Manger and put in a recommendation for them.

EpicPromise - Community Grants

Perisher has partnered with Jindabyne Central School P&C Association through the EpicPromise Community Grant program.

In July this year, the Jindabyne Central School (JCS) Year 6 leadership team, met with Perisher’s environment team to discuss ways to improve the recycling efforts at the school. During this meeting it was agreed that the first step in this ambitious project was to get a better understanding of the waste that comes into the school each day.

On 15 August Perisher’s environment team assisted JCS students by developing and conducting a waste audit to determine how much waste could be diverted from landfill if recycling bins were available in the school grounds.  The audit showed that 90% of landfill waste could be diverted into recycling and organics streams.  Perisher’s environment team will continue to work with JSC students and teachers to determine how to effectively roll out the new waste streams, as well as  looking into how to educate students and parents about reducing the amount of waste brought to school from packed school lunches, and to encourage students to bring reusable items like keep cups and cutlery when buying from the canteen.

A big congratulations to Tanya Bishop and Amber Gault for driving this great initiative with JCS through one of our Epic Promise initiatives.
