Winter has arrived on the slopes of Perisher this morning as snowmaking has blanketed the resort in white just as the Peak Festival 2026 shares its lineup, including a special set by homegrown hero Kesha Nevé, the most recent Australian Idol winner.
Australia’s coolest music festival has been transforming the Perisher Valley snowfields into a high-energy celebration of live music, winter vibes and community spirit across the June long weekend for almost two decades with free entry to all events.
“Peak Festival is where live music, snow and community all come together in the most incredible setting,” says Peak Festival Director and local businesswoman Belinda Shore. “Every year the festival brings amazing energy to the mountains, with people moving between venues, discovering new artists and enjoying the fun atmosphere that makes the June long weekend in Perisher so special. The diversity of this year’s lineup is something we’re especially excited about, there’s truly something for everyone.”
Running from Friday 5 June to Monday 8 June 2026, the much-loved alpine festival returns with a dynamic and diverse lineup of artists from across Australia. Over three days, festival goers can experience more than 75 performances in 8 venues throughout Perisher Valley, featuring everything from folk, roots and acoustic music to indie, blues, world music and late-night party sets.
“The 2026 lineup celebrates the diversity of Australian live music culture, featuring emerging artists, festival favourites and nationally recognised performers sharing the stage across the weekend including recent Australian Idol winner, our local Snowy Mountains star, Kesha Nevé,” says Shore. “And we are fostering new local talent with our students performing on the Kids Stage and newcomers on the Open Mic Stage.”
Family friendly entertainment remains a major part of the festival, with children’s favourites Yabadoo returning to Perisher Valley with games, balloon twisting, magic, face painting, dress-ups and interactive fun for younger festival goers throughout the weekend.
Beyond the music, Peak Festival offers visitors the chance to experience the unique hospitality, nightlife and snow culture of the Snowy Mountains as the winter season begins, as well as the Peak Festival Art Show, which spotlights local artists and draws art lovers from far and wide.
Perisher Valley is located approximately two hours from Canberra and five hours from Sydney.
