The past 12 hours at Perisher have been the stuff of dreams...freezing temps, steady snowfall, and 20cm of fresh powder blanketing the mountain. The timing couldn’t be better. Today’s storm reset the mountain completely, and with another 30cm+ of snow forecast to fall in coming days, this could be one of the best starts to September in recent memory.
With soft turns, wind-blown powder pockets, and top-to-bottom riding, September is shaping up to feel more like mid-winter than spring, and we're not complaining!
Groomed, Connected, Ready to Ride
On any given day right now, you’ll find up to 100 freshly groomed trails across the resort, with as many as 45 lifts spinning to keep you moving. All four areas, Perisher Valley, Blue Cow, Smiggin Holes and Guthega,are open and interconnected, making it easy to chase fresh turns, lap your favourite runs, or discover your new favourite spot. From silky corduroy to wind-blown powder pockets, the mountain is still serving up plenty of variety.

Fresh snow always brings the stoke, but there’s something extra special about scoring it so close to the official start of spring. Think bluebird mornings, soft turns under the sun, long lunches with mates, and now, the bonus of a snowpack that just keeps growing. The atmosphere is electric, and it’s only building as we roll into September.
