The mountain has more up it’s sleeve than you think. Here’s how to make your Perisher visit one to remember – no perfect powder required.
First turns, first love
It’s a good time to give skiing or boarding a crack with the terrain on offer suitable for finding your feet on snow. Whether it's skis or a snowboard calling your name, our First-Timer Ski & Snowboard programs are purpose-built to give you the best introduction to skiing and riding: patient instructors, gentle terrain, and that grin you get when it all finally clicks.
No experience needed. Seriously, none. Book a lesson and make this the week you actually do it.
Ride up, kick back and discover something new
For the first time in a long time, the Quad Express is open for scenic foot passenger rides, and the views make it worth every minute. Float above the snowfields and see Perisher from a whole new angle before stepping off at Mid Station for a warm mountain meal overlooking Perisher Valley.
Once you're fuelled up, check out Perisher's newest addition: Sugar & Snow, a lolly shop where you can build the pick & mix bag of your dreams. Then jump back on the Quad for the ride to the top and back down through the stunning Snowy Mountains landscape.

ℹ️ Good to know before you go:
- Guests must be able to load, ride and unload the chairlift unassisted
- Dress for winter: jacket, pants, gloves and hat are strongly recommended, with appropriate footwear
- Gear available to hire or purchase at Perisher Sports if you need it
- Unloading at top station is not permitted
- Mid Station restaurant and facilities are fully accessible from the lift
Please note: Foot passenger access is available for a limited time only. Once the Quad Express opens for skiing and riding, scenic rides will no longer be available.
Tickets are $49 for adults and $29 for children, with clothing rental add-ons available. Purchase via the link above or from Guest Services.
Epic Australia Pass holders will not require an additional ticket to ride the lift. Epic Australia Day Pass and Epic Beginner Bundle ticket holders will be able to ride the lift without it counting as a ‘day’ on their Pass.
Ride Australia's highest railway
Board the Skitube at Perisher Valley and tunnel through the Snowy Mountains to Blue Cow, a journey that's part engineering marvel, part genuine adventure. The 7-minute trip delivers you to Blue Cow at 1,900 metres above sea level, accessible only via the Skitube or the ski slopes in winter.
Once you're up top, the Main Range opens up in front of you. Take it in from the warmth of the Blue Cow Bistro over a coffee or a meal or step out onto the deck and walk to the viewing platform for the full uninterrupted picture. Either way, it's the kind of view that earns a moment or two.
