Here’s a rundown of the lessons on offer to help you find your perfect fit.
Never Been on Snow Before? Start Here.
First-Timer Lessons
If you've never skied or snowboarded before (or haven't been on snow in years), First-Timer Lessons are your starting point! Run out of Smiggin Holes – Perisher's dedicated beginner area – these lessons are designed to get you sliding, stopping, and smiling in a mellow environment, with lots of progression available.
For adults, the 3-Day Beginner Bundle is the easiest way to get started. For just $599, it bundles together three days of beginner lift access, gear rental, and group lessons with world-class instructors. It's everything you need to learn, all in one package. Plus, you’ll get 20% off a 2027 Epic Australia Pass!
Only here for a day? Our 1-Day Learn to Turn Program gets you a specialised, beginner group lesson and a limited access lift ticket, so you can keep practicing your turns post lesson.
Perisher also offers standalone Adult 2-Hour Group Lessons at Smiggin Holes, where experienced instructors will help you build confidence and learn the fundamentals.

Adult 2-Hour Group Lessons
Already got a few runs under your belt? Adult Group Lessons cater to all abilities, from beginner through to advanced, with small classes grouped by ability. These lessons are available across the resort, providing a variety of terrain for skiers and boarders to choose from.
If you’re still finding your feet, Smiggin Holes is the place to be. Looking to explore some more advanced terrain? Choose to take your lesson out of Perisher Valley or Blue Cow!
No matter your experience, a lesson will help you make the most of your time on the mountain by skipping the lift line and unlocking more terrain.
Give the Kids Their Own Adventure
Kids' Group Lessons
Kids' Group Lessons cater for children aged 3–14 (ski) or 7–14 (snowboard) in small, ability-grouped classes led by instructors trained specifically to work with kids. Choose from a Half Day (3 hours, any day), a Saturday Full Day (with lunch included), or the premium 3, 4 & 5 Day Adventure Program for families staying a week – where kids keep the same instructor throughout and explore more of the mountain each day.
Note: Group snowboard lessons start from age 7. For younger snowboarders, a Private Lesson is recommended.

Private Lessons
For a completely customised experience, Private Lessons give you (or your group) the undivided attention of one of Perisher's best instructors. Choose from a 1.5-hour taster, a 2-hour session, a half day, or a full day, where you’ll get tailored instruction and see serious progression. Plus, skip the lift lines and explore new terrain, too.
A Few Things to Know Before You Book
Regardless of which lesson you choose, here are a few helpful tips:
- Book early – Lessons fill up quickly, and booking online in advance is the best way to secure your preferred dates and times, at the best price.
- Lift tickets are separate – Lessons don’t include lift tickets (excluding 1-Day Learn to Turn and the 3-Day Beginner Bundle). Make sure you have a valid lift ticket for each day of your lesson!
- Epic Australia Pass holders save 20% – If you hold an Epic Australia Pass or Epic Australia 4-Day Pass, you'll receive 20% off lessons booked online in advance.
- Helmets – Strongly recommended for adults and mandatory for children.
- Allow extra travel time on Peak Snow Days – Getting to and from the mountain can sometimes take longer than expected in peak periods, so be sure to allow extra time.
- Rent your gear from Perisher or bring your own – for hassle-free travel, rent your ski or snowboard equipment from the experts at Perisher Sports! You can book online for the best value, pick it up from one of three convenient locations, and swap your gear based on your needs.
