28 July 2026
With the largest terrain area in the Southern Hemisphere to explore, it's easy to spend the whole trip chasing runs. But it's never only about the skiing and riding. It's also the people, the nights, and the moments that happen once the boots come off. This August's events and après line-up is full of them, from Night Skiing on Front Valley to a stacked run of gigs at The Station.
Keep reading to see what’s on in August!
Chase the lights at Night Skiing and Boarding
There's something a bit magic about lapping a lit-up trail once the sun's gone down and the temperature's dropped. Night Skiing and Boarding runs on Front Valley, and there's a completely different feel to riding it under lights compared to daytime. If you've never carved a turn after dark, this is the month to tick it off!
On certain night skiing nights, there's also a special fireworks display over Front Valley, the kind of moment that gets everyone, skiers, boarders, kids, parents, out and looking up for a few minutes of pure spectacle. Find which days fireworks will be on here.

Chicks Who Shred
Chicks Who Shred is proof that a snow trip is as much about who you're with as what you're riding. It's a fun, encouraging group scenario where you can shred alongside some of the best female riders in the industry, backed by the support of a like-minded crew. Whether you're joining as a rider or just here for the energy, it's one of those events where the vibe carries well past the last run.
Chicks Who Shred will be running sessions on the weekend of 1-2 August. You can find out more and register for their events here!

Races for every age at Perisher
Got a young one who wants to get into alpine racing? Why not enter them in the Blue Cow Cup! It's the perfect opportunity for them to test or develop their racing skills and maybe even inspire the next generation of winter Olympians. Enter your child into the Blue Cow Cup here.
Racing at Perisher isn't just for the kids, though. There's also Perisher Masters, open to all skiers and snowboarders 18 and over, and proof that age is no barrier to a bit of healthy competition. Retired racers, keen amateurs and those who came to the sport a little later in life all line up together on the course. Register for Perisher Masters here.

Val's Blue Steel Rail Jam
Val's back on home turf after a solid run at the 2026 Olympics, and after last year's fun, he's bringing the rail jam back to Perisher's iconic Blue Steel rails on 16 August. Whether you're an up-and-coming grom or a seasoned Open competitor, this is your chance to throw down, push your limits, and walk away with some serious cash and prizes.
Mark your calendars, and we'll have more information, including registration details, for you soon.

August is going to be a big one!
With racing for every age, a rail jam bringing out the best in the park, a stacked run of gigs at The Station, and night skiing lighting up Front Valley, August at Perisher is proof that a snow trip is about a lot more than just the runs. So, while you're sorting your lift tickets, take a look at the events calendar too - you might just find the reason for your trip has as much to do with what happens off the mountain as on it!
