Today at Perisher

More snow on the snow stake!

We’ve woken up to another chilly morning at Perisher, where the temperature is currently 0°C and only a top of 3°C expected, so be sure to rug up before you head our way!

The cool change that rolled in is still bringing scattered showers and snowfall higher up the mountain. After a few centimetres of fresh snow on the tops yesterday, we woke to another 4cm on the snow stake this morning.

We're expecting more of the same throughout the day: light precipitation on and off, with hopes of further snowfall at higher altitudes. Winds will stay light from the south, reaching 17km/h.

With colder temperatures finally settling in, our snowmaking team is gearing up to fire the guns over the next few days, with more terrain to open as soon as conditions allow. For now, the Front Valley Conveyor and Harry's & Herman's Conveyor are open and ready for beginners, or anyone keen to get out on snow. The Hike Park is also open for our park enthusiasts.

If you’re after some entertainment, swing by JAX Bar from 11:30am to 2:00pm for an open mic session! Come share your talent or just sit back and enjoy what others bring to the stage.

Bring on the winter weather!

*Natural snow depth is supplemented with snowmaking in certain areas. Natural snow depth is measured at roughly 1,830m by Snowy Hydro Limited who have invested in new instrumentation across the Snowy Scheme and can now provide more frequent snow depth readings at a site close to the Spencers Creek snow course. This near real-time snow depth information is available HERE.
