How We Practice Our Mission And Vision
Community Grants – Over the past five years, Perisher has donated more than $130,000 to the local community, focusing on community grants for youth programs and environmental initiatives. Under the EpicPromise Community Grants program, Perisher will continue to donate cash and product to local community groups benefiting youth and the environment.
EpicVolunteers – Perisher employees with have the chance to have a more enriching, in-depth Experience of a Lifetime by being awarded 40 hours of paid time off for a volunteer project with the charity of their choice. Since inception, more than 70 Vail Resorts employee volunteers have contributed 2,800 hours of service to non-profit organisations globally.
EpicPromise Day – In November 2016 and 2017, Perisher held annual Epic Promise Days, where employees were encouraged to volunteer a work day to come together around a community project benefitting local non-profit organisation in the areas of youth and the environment.
EpicPromise Foundation – Perisher Employees are eligible to apply to EpicPromise Foundation for emergency financial assistance in their times of need. Perisher Employees will also be able to apply for educational scholarships for themselves and their kids. Perisher Employees are also able to make voluntary donations to the EpicPromise Foundation to benefit other Vail Resorts Employees.
Environment – Operations at Perisher rely on cold winters, and with the changing climate it is increasingly more important for Vail Resorts to reduce its energy consumption and minimise its carbon footprint. This is achieved through improvements to heating, lighting, and energy management systems. Perisher will continue to drive improvements in its environmental performance through our Environmental Management System.
