Wild Weekend + Dusting of Fresh Snow!

Strong winds are expected today with some lift operations currently on hold. For real-time updates, monitor the Perisher lift report and download the Perisher app and make sure to opt-in to 'Snow & Weather' and 'Lifts & Operations' notifications.

Good morning and welcome to the weekend at Perisher!

After a wild storm rolled through overnight, we’ve woken up to a 2cm dusting of fresh snow. While the aftermath of the storm continues to move through, expect a wild and windy day out on the slopes. We’re in for a top of just 1°C with mostly cloudy skies, gusty NW winds, and possible snow showers at times. Keep an eye on that forecast as there’s a little more snow on the way over the weekend!

Despite the weather, our extensive T-Bar network is keeping nearly all of our terrain open, so there’s still plenty of mountain to explore! Our grooming team has been out overnight, laying fresh corduroy on 50 runs. With freezing temperatures early, expect firm, fast snow in the morning, but it will soften nicely as the day progresses.

As we move into the final weeks of the season, operations will begin to gradually wind down. It’s been an incredible winter, and to keep as much terrain open for as long as possible, we’ll be focusing our efforts on select resort areas to deliver the best possible experience right through to our projected closing day on Monday, 6 October.
Refer to the Perisher and and follow us on or to stay updated on operations over the next few weeks.

What to Wear:

It will be chilly out there today so rug up with some warm thermal base layers and some waterproof outerwear to keep you warm and dry as the weather rolls through.

Need an extra layer? Swing past Perisher Sports or Slopestyle, for up to 40% off hardware, outerwear, footwear, and apparel. *Exclusions apply.

Lens of the Day:
Visibility is expected to vary throughout the day so we would recommend a low light to variable lens.

*Natural snow depth is supplemented with snowmaking in certain areas. Natural snow depth is measured at roughly 1,830m by Snowy Hydro Limited who have invested in new instrumentation across the Snowy Scheme and can now provide more frequent snow depth readings at a site close to the Spencers Creek snow course. This near real-time snow depth information is available HERE.
