Hello week six of the winter season! As they say, time flies when you’re having fun! This week held an array of events on and off the mountain with something for everyone. We even had a small dusting of snow on Friday. This, combined with the perfect conditions for snow making meant Saturday was a delight with a fresh topping of snow, blue skies, and low winds. Mount Perisher was the place to be with short lines, light wind, and crystal-clear skies, and to top it off, hot chocolates at Eyre Kiosk!

Kicking off the week with Interschools
The Subaru ACT & Regional NSW Interschools Snowsport Championships provide an opportunity for Australian school students of all ages to experience Snowsport and to participate at either a recreational or competitive level. The Subaru ACT & Regional NSW Interschools Snowsport Championships ran all week with a range of disciplines. Interschools wrapped up on Saturday with a multi-class event, giving students with a disability the chance to join in on the interschools fun!
Subaru Snow Fest!
For our Epic Australia Pass holders, Subaru hosted their WRX First Tracks this Saturday and Sunday with enthusiastic skiers and boarders patiently waiting to catch the Village 8 Express to be the first to carve up Front Valley. If you were there early enough, Subaru were giving away free neck buffs, beanies, and cookies!
If you couldn't make Subaru WRX First Tracks, Our Subaru team were pumping the tunes and handing out goodies by our third and final snow sculpture this season! A beautiful snowwoman carved by our resident artist Grassi was visited by many guests who were excited to say hello. With some lucky guests receiving toastie Subaru beanies, Subaru buffs, and Subaru cookies!
If you caught the Skitube on Saturday and parked at Bullocks Flat, snow scrapers were handed out and placed on some lucky cars as a thank you for catching the Skitube! If you are interested in catching the Skitube this season, be sure to book your ticket online and ahead of time.
Demo Days with Atomic and Salomon
We hosted our first Atomic and Salomon Demo Days at Smiggin Holes over two great days. If you missed out on testing the latest and greatest ski gear, not to worry, Demo Days runs every Friday and Saturday at Smiggin Holes up until the 19th of August. Keep an eye out for the Atomic and Salomon tents and come on down. Say hello and test out the best gear from Atomic and Salomon.
Stace Cadet and DZ Deathrays at The Station
It was the second week The Station hosted their weekly gigs, welcoming Stace Cadet on Wednesday, and DZ Deathrays on Saturday. Both were a great success, with a healthy amount of moshing and dancing all through the night. Keep an eye out for this week's headliners in the events calendar.
Barbie visited Perisher!
It’s a bird, it’s a plane... no it's not... It’s BARBIE! Barbie made her way around Perisher on Wednesday, she booked in her rentals, went to guest services to collect her lift pass, and hit the slopes in true Barbie style. She had a splendid day in ‘the real world’ shredding up Front Valley, and perfectly executed a quadruple cork 2160 of Slopestyle terrain park, ending the day with a leisurely trip back to Bullocks Flat on the Skitube. Her adventures were recorded on our Instagram story.
The Week Ahead
With plenty of events lined up for next week, it's going to be an awesome week 7! Join us under bright lights and even brighter stars for Night Skiing & Boarding every Tuesday and Saturday on Front Valley. We will also have live music around the resort in different venues to keep you entertained!
Our line-up of artists continue at The Station, with The Terrys playing this coming Wednesday and Ministry of Sound tearing up the decks on Saturday. Check out the complete line-up of artists here!
Oakley Community Days kick off on the 29th and 30th where you can test the best Oakley gear on the mountain. There will also be a scavenger hunt over those two days to give you the chance to win some sweet Oakley gear! Along side the Oakley Demo Days, there will be a Oakley Perisher Park Show Down! This event will be held on the Front Valley Terrain Park, the slopestyle event will see competitor undertake two runs which are judged. We hope to see you out there!
Atomic and Salomon will be back at Smiggin Holes for you to test their latest gear on Friday and Saturday. Don't worry snowboarders, we have a demo day for you too! With Three Peaks Snowboard Demos running from Sunday to Tuesday at Smiggin Holes with a range of brand including Burton, Nitro + more!
