Perisher has been nominated as Australia's Best Ski Resort in the World Ski Awards, a global initiative that recognizes, rewards and celebrates excellence in ski tourism industry around the world. An annual 3 day event, held in Kitzbuhel, Austria, is the only time that the international leaders of the industry come together to exchange knowledge, innovation and principles of practice on the global stage.

The World Ski Awards aim to increase standards and raise the bar within the industry globally while rewarding those organizations in which are leaders.  Perisher has once again been nominated for the prestigious title of Australia’s Best Ski Resort. With the awesome skiing, snowboarding, events and entertainment on offer, it’s not hard to see why.

Perisher has and continues to make investments into its facilities to supply an experience of a lifetime to guests. Including investing 4.2 million on replacing the Leichhardt T-bar with a new quad chairlift and a huge snowmaking project to be completed in the 2018/2019 summer.

Additionally, guests are entertained both on and off the hill, continuing to serve up an events and entertainment calendar that is loaded with something for everyone! This season we saw globally recognised musical talent, along with a series of fun and competitive on mountain events to suit any and every age group!

The 2018 season saw a peak snow depth of 2.2 metres, with heavy, consistent snowfall allowing sensational skiing and snowboarding week after week. Once again Perisher extended its season into October due to the excellent conditions on offer to guests and the most reliable snow conditions in the country.
